Thanks Rogerio!! You are so kind and I really appreciate it! Glad it made you giggle...thanks to Lin-Manuel Miranda those founding fathers are FAIR GAME! :)
Tara--this is pretty much the only thing I know how to do (wocka wocka). Glad I gave you a giggle. When you come to Boston I'll give you the REAL insider's tour!! XO!
HA!!! Thanks Eric!! On the exposure bit: SAME! I just thought, I bet that shit’s been going on for eeeeeooons! Hope you had a great holiday. And: oh yes-Timothy Olyphant FOR EVERYTHING!!! Could not agree more and now I might have to rewatch Deadwood again, again...again 💥👏🏼
This is pretty great! I never get tired of thinking about these people as actual people. The biography of Samuel Adams by Stacy Schiff is an awesome read in that respect--he was quite the revolutionary puppet master (and brew bro!) :)
You had me snorting out my morning coffee through the nostrils again!! I love the character development, you captured all their personalities perfectly, especially Adams being like the dumb "how ya doin'" Joey friend of the group. And Franklin being the tryhard smart one 🤓
We also had some Biblical rain and windstorms lately including on the actual 4th, but didn't last too long and still got to see the city fireworks out the window from the comfort of home. So that was great!
My fave local natural chill place is when the lake freezes over and we can walk on it and pretend we're Jesus. And there's always at least one ice fisherman for us to chat up. They even let us have one of their catch one time, and we had that for dinner. Nothing beats freshly caught fish 😋
Thanks my friend! Glad I made you giggle. You can thank LMM for busting open our minds about these founding fathers :) Your Jesus jaunts sound absolutely lovely! I'm always too nervous to venture out on frozen lakes, but I love them..even just being around the shoreline is magical :)
LMM is a freaking national treasure, he can do no wrong. I read an article last year that these days the kids think he is cringey, but to me this just shows Gen Z can and often are dum dums. They just be hatin' cuz they ain't him! In the Heights was magical and his direction of Tick Tick Boom even made my daughter cry. I'll watch anything he writes, stars in, or directs 4LYF!!
Agreed 100% times infinity times time. I gobbled up the annotated libretto/making of Ham. Fell hard for Heights and Tick Tick. The man IS non-stop, and I am not mad about that at all (and ps En Canto all. damn. day) :)
Been meaning to read this and although it’s late, I’m glad I read it today. So funny, smart and accurate. That’s how it went, for sure! Thanks! 😂

Frickin and minga should be in every history text book. Add that to the long list of things omitted...THIS IS GREAT and WICKED FUNNY. xoxo
Grateful as always Mighty One!! I am bringing back "minga" with GUSTO! :) Love and miss you--coffee date SOON?! X!
Thanks for the hilarious history lesson, Sheila-style!! You crack me up! ❤️

This is hilarious! The bit about Jefferson writing for exposure hit awfully close to home. Writers are never paid what we're worth!

This is the way
Below is another take on this, timely I thought, although I liked yours better!
