He doesn't know Mark Rothko AND thinks Oppenheimer was whatevs?! Run girl, run! I was sort of rooting for him at first since he was sounding like my husband with the nerdy coding and understandable lack of art appreciation. But once he dissed Oppy - I just cannot abide!

Seriously, so funny Sheila and your captions are wicked as per usual. The whale art is a stunner!

I was right there with you, Marmi. I thought maybe he just has different creative tastes, which is awesome, right? But he was so, so dismissive of THE BLACK SQUARE that I could not abide. And yeah, a shrug on the Opps?! DEAL BREAKER! :) The Winteractive installations are fantastic! The whale piece plays whale song when you walk around it and at night it has a lighting component. I wish these would come to every city! X!

I'm all about the public art!! And are you kidding me, it plays a whale song - that is so amazing. I bet anyone walking by that just absorbs good vibes through osmosis.

Btw I shall now use the new SM-trademarked moniker "The Opps" in reference to J. Robert Oppenheimer (person OR movie). Expect your first royalty check in the mail very soon!

Lol. The captions are like little goldmines.

Related: At some point, I will start reading the articles themselves in a heavy Boston accent.

Me: Not into Rothko? That's a red flag.

Also me: Man, I am so glad I don't have to navigate dating anymore.

Kevin--my thoughts EXACTLY. When he was like "not much of a reader" I also thought "What are you doing....Dave?" I told my partner: "I would NEVER survive the scene. The fact that I just referred to it as 'the scene' is all the proof you need!" :) Cheers to the knots..may they just continue to get tighter and weirder....

Eaves dropping on conversations is one of my favourite pastimes. Thanks for sharing your eavesdrop with us.... love it 😀

Thanks so much Dr. Vicki! I really appreciate that and same. I also fully expect to be overheard and don't mind that at all. I think, well if it gives someone a laugh or a bit of hope or even a "uggh, so glad I'm not her!" then it is worth the public service!

Oh the cringe of that conversation! I'm such a serial eavesdropper too, and my husband gives me such grief for it but I'm glad I'm not the only one. Also, those Baauuwston captions are gold!!

HAAA! Thanks Renee! Eavesdrop away, I say. You never know when it will make its way into your art or, at the very least, provide some laughs. I felt like picking up her check to be honest :)

Thanks again Elizabeth! Absolutely! I truly have no shame in doing it AND fully expect to be overheard as well. I figure that's my own creative "pay it forward?" :)
